About this mod
Made on an RTX 3060 Laptop GPU with 6 GB. Players have reported it working on RTX 2060, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti, 3080, 4050 and 4060 cards, on a Radeon RX 6600, and on Linux through Proton. If the game does not start or runs worse with the mod, uninstall it and you are back to stock. When you report a problem, attach acevo_perf.log from the game folder. It says what the mod did.
- WHAT IT FIXES Crashes at startup and on car or track changes Missing icons in the vehicle hub and menus Mushy road, tyre and ground textures Cards with more than 6 GB left with video memory unused (experimental) Your own car going blurry in races with AI Blurry trackside big screens Laggy menus Uneven frame pacing while driving Unnecessary texture streaming A memory leak growing with every track and menu you load
- WHAT IT ADDS NVIDIA Reflex Higher CPU and GPU priority A newer DirectStorage
- INSTALL Close the game. Open the game folder. In Steam, right click the game, then Manage and Browse local files. Copy all the files from the zip into that folder, next to AssettoCorsaEVO.exe. When Windows asks, replace the file. Start the game. For the sharpest textures, set texture quality to Ultra in the game's graphics settings.
If you changed acevo_perf.ini, keep your copy when Windows asks about it. If you update from 0.3 and keep your own acevo_perf.ini, delete its enable_pso_cache line. It caused glass looking fences, glowing cars and missing headlights.
- UNINSTALL Close the game. In the game folder, delete dstorage.dll, everything whose name starts with acevo_, and dstorage_orig.dll if an older version left one. In Steam, right click the game, then Properties, Installed Files and Verify integrity of game files. This puts the game's own dstorage.dll back. Without this step the game will not start.
